Film industry veterans Dean St. John & Michael Serrian, frustrated by trying to get a movie made via the Hollywood system, joined forces and formed a partnership, The Sprocket Factory. Determined to bring their visions to the screen, they faithfully shot Michael Serrian's scripts with Dean St. John's professional directorial craftsmanship. Because of budgetary restraints, the partners had to do double even triple duty on the production end. But the sacrifices were worth it to finally see their films come to fruition.
Originally slated to be a short film, the filmmakers decided to turn it into a feature during the casting sessions. A demented triptych of horror and dark satire that pits hit men and strippers against the disturbing forces from The Other Side. Learning to put their street-smarts and new immortality to good use to seek revenge, battle-worn Charlie and dimwited Johnny find themselves embattling strange creatures that only hell could conjure up! You've never see anything quite like Cruising Purgatory.
Featuring a standout performance by cult-fave actor, Joe Pilato, This Way Out of Brooklyn is a neo-noir "dramedy" about two scheming brothers from Brooklyn and a mysterious woman who holds them under her spell. With a femme fatale, murder, plot twists, and a retro-50s seedy production design, this contemporary character-driven story will linger in your mind long after the initial viewing.
